Privacy policy
Updated October 2026. Short, because a site this size holds very little about anyone.
Given to us directly
Nothing, unless you write in. No accounts, no newsletter, no forms requesting details. A message you send is kept along with your reply address for as long as answering it takes, plus a record of any correction that followed. Nobody who writes in gets added to a list.
Recorded automatically
Standard server logging, which means: which page was asked for, where the visit came from, a string identifying the browser, a rough geographic guess based on the network address, and the time it happened. This is a property of how web servers work rather than a choice. It shows which pages people actually read and helps track down breakages. Analytics tooling, if switched on, summarises the same sort of thing.
Affiliate tracking specifically
This is the part peculiar to a site funded this way, so it is worth being exact about. Clicking through to a seller causes their payment platform to set a cookie noting that the visit started here. If a purchase follows, a commission is credited to this site.
What arrives back is a count. Not your name, not your address, not your email, not your card details, not what you bought. The cookie belongs to the platform and sits on their domain, and once you are on their pages their privacy policy governs what happens, not this one.
Cookies, and declining them
Whatever this domain sets for itself does nothing beyond remembering interface preferences. The affiliate cookies covered above originate elsewhere entirely. Any current browser will block or wipe either sort, generally from a menu called privacy or site data, and clearing them breaks nothing here.
Deliberately not collected
Health information. If you write in, please leave it out. We cannot advise on it and holding it benefits neither of us. Nothing here is aimed at children and no information is knowingly collected from them.
Who else sees anything
No data leaves here by sale, rental or exchange. Three parties unavoidably see something along the way: whoever hosts these pages, any analytics tool that happens to be switched on, and the affiliate platform at the instant a click carries you over to it.
What you can ask for
Requests to see or erase whatever is held about you go through the contact page. There is so little of it that these rarely take long to resolve. If data protection law where you live extends further rights to you, those apply too.
Revisions
A material change comes with a change to the date above. Continuing to use the site afterwards indicates acceptance of the revised version.
